How We Put Our 3 Donkeys Women’s Farming Coveralls To The Test

We’re always really chuffed to see images of our 2-into-1 ladies overalls being used out in the wild and being shared across social media. From farming to yard work or gardening, it’s a joy to see how people use them and how easy people find them to work in. And lately, we’ve been putting them to the test ourselves here at 3 Donkeys HQ too.

What kind of company would we be if we didn’t use our own products from time to time? Living in the heart of Devon on our smallholding means we get to pull on our fabulous women’s workwear for all our farming chores. And, if you’ve been checking out our Instagramfeed, you’ll have seen we’ve been using them a lot over recent months.

Full coverall protection

Alongside our growing list of farmyard pets. we’re in the (slow) process of building a small herd of Hereford beef cattle. And earlier in May, we found ourselves on calving duty once more, helping Agnes (yes, we named her) deliver a healthy calf and increase our herd numbers. We’re just waiting for Ethel to join her now…

And our small flock of four sheep are the result of a lovely lockdown project we started for the kids last year during the lockdown. They bottle-reared each of the lambs every day, which gave them a special, hands-on experience, but also got them used to how a small farm works and has to adapt to what’s sometimes needed.

While all our animals live as natural a life as possible, grazing the pasture as much as the ground will allow, we seem to live in the wettest place ever recently. So, with our various flocks and herds being housed undercover a lot of the time, all our daily mucking out, feeding, and general farm work, has seen our women’s farming coveralls being put to the test on a daily basis.

With both lambing and calving in full flow across all farms and smallholdings recently, our Classic 2-into-1 ladies coveralls have saved the day more than once, keeping us – and all our female farm customers – fully protected, clean, and free from muck every time.

And the eagle-eyed among you will have seen that I started our veg garden last year too, complete with raised beds, polytunnel, and potting shed. Further proof that a women’s farming coverall can stand the rigours of extreme gardening too.

Show, shop, and subscribe

But talking of all things farming and agricultural, after what feels like an eternity, 3 Donkeys will be taking the wonky wagon back out on the road for a trip to the South of England Show on June 11th-13th. It’s going to be a slightly strange experience as we get back towards some kind of normality again, but we’re really looking forward to it.

We have a trade stand booked for all three days, so expect to see our dusted off banners, flags, and bunting. And we’ll have our full range of women’s workwear coveralls for farming ready to buy, together with all our t-shirts, hats, and hoodies to keep you warm and stylish while you work. But more about all that in our next blog…

In the meantime, find out more about our coveralls and take advantage of free UK delivery on any order over £25. And don’t forget – by subscribing to our newsletter, you get a 10% discount when you buy online.
